Transportation Project Priority List
The Iron County Rural Planning Organization Transportation Advisory Committee approved a revised project priority list which was subsequently approved by the Transportation Executive Council on Jan.6, 2016. Brian Head Letter of Support

Access Management Agreement
On Wednesday June 01, 2011 the Iron County Rural Planning Organization Transportation Executive Council approved an Access Management Agreement. An Access Management Agreement is intended to create the safe, free flow of traffic, and to protect the interests of all parties traveling the roadways in Iron County. Tri-County Coal Haul Truck Study
On Monday May 02, 2011 the Iron County Rural Planning Organization Transportation Advisory Committee voted to participate in the Tri-County Coal Haul Truck Study. The study will analyze the existing and future road conditions along the planned coal haul route. The study will be posted here as soon as it is made available.
Eastern Iron County Emerging Area Study
In 2007, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) began studying rural areas across the state experiencing higher than normal levels of growth. UDOT calls these areas “emerging areas.” UDOT’s emerging area Planning Division prioritizes areas of the state that will benefit most from early, thoughtful planning.
In October 2008, Eastern Iron County was identified as an emerging area and an ideal candidate for UDOT’s next Emerging Area Plan. Click on the brochure for a quick summary of the plan. To view the entire plan, click on the technical report (it is a large file).
ICRPO Regional Transportation Plan
UDOT, Iron County and the Eastern Iron County local governments have become partners in an initiative to provide regional transportation planning throughout this area and create a regional transportation plan. The transportation system has been evaluated and a range of transportation improvements, including roadways, transit, bicycle and pedestrian facilities are recommended that can help satisfy existing and future needs.
